Midwest Fats & Oils, LLC is a new name but our experience and expertise in the oleochemical industry goes back to the early 1960s.

We have been a manufacturer of various fat and oil products and this progression includes in chronological order:

Exportation of fats and oils, primarily tallow and grease. We also refine, bleach and deodorize these oils.
Extraction of fats and oils from meat meal, rice bran, spent bleached clay castor.
Production of acidulated soapstocks from various vegetable oils.
Manufacture of methyl esters from acidulated soapstock.
Fatty acids and glycerine from various feedstocks including hydrogenation and distillation.
Crude glycerine refining.
Molecular distillation.
Manufacture of metallic soaps from various fatty acids.
Recovery of fats from various emulsions.
Sulphonated and alkylated petroleum feedstocks for the manufacture of surfactants.
In addition to the oleochemical products and processes listed above we have designed, built and managed our own plants for these products and operated our own fleet of tank trucks and rail cars.
